Free Comic Book Day
If it's the first Saturday in May, then it's Free Comic Book Day!
Every year, publishers participate in this event to offer free titles to new readers which showcase some of the great things they have going on. For some publishers, the free title is a reprint of a popular issue, or some use it to launch a summer event. Whatever the case, most retailers use this opportunity to reward the extra traffic with some great deals. Get out today and support your local comic shop. Not sure if you have a comic shop in your area? Visit the Comic Shop Locator at www.comicshoplocator.com and check back soon for some reviews of the free offerings from today.

Well that was fun...
April's A-to-Z Blog Challenge is officially over. I'm glad I participated and had some fun doing it. At times, it was difficult to view it as a challenge and not a chore, but I made it through. I appreciate all the comments and the new followers that have come on board as a result. I encourage everyone to stick around and keep reading. This summer will see some crossover in DC's new 52 with Batman's Night of Owls event and the Teen Titans' The Culling. I'll be seeing as many of the summer comic book films as I can and offer my opinion on those as well.
Interested in my take on a title? Email suggestions to marc@pissues.com . No guarantees that I can work it into my weekly comic budget, but I'll definitely take a look.
